7.Meditation light

Question: Is there light in your meditation? (Question is missing, make up the meaning)

A: First of all, there is not necessarily a bright aspect to the meditation of the color world. Now only the Pao Zen system makes this request in particular. The so-called meditation of the light meditation is required to enter the meditation. The reason is that the so-called “must be bounded by the color boundary, is the color boundary Zen.” It seems very reasonable, but the fact This is not necessarily the case. For example, to cultivate the concept of compassion, you can go to the Three Zens, and the cause is compassion. For example, you can go to the early meditation when you practice the four realms of separation. The four realms of separation are the grounds for repairing water, fire, and wind. The grounds are dynamic, rigid, wet, and hot, and there is nothing bright.

Here in the Beichuan area, those who practice meditation according to meditation are purely meditative, and can also breathe into the four meditations, but there may not be light.

Therefore, the Pao Department emphasizes the “must” that there must be a bright meditation to enter the first meditation. I oppose it. Because it’s too absolute.

Of course, there is light in meditation, and it is better to have light. But the light must be present, not fantasy. If you meditate on fantasy light, you will enter a solo scene and become daydreaming.

Question: Eight touches and ten merits are the phenomenon of entering the first jhana. The merits of ten merits means that there will be a bright aspect. Do you dare to prove Zen without the light? (Question is missing, make up the meaning)

Answer: Eight touches, itching, cold and warm, ten merit: empty, clear, fixed, intelligent, kind, soft, happy, happy, liberated, corresponding to the realm. There is no light here. “Ming” of ten virtues refers to the meaning of being mentally clear and sober. It is clear that in the realm of sobriety, there is not necessarily any bright aspect. For example, when you rest your eyes and rest, you are sober about your physical feelings. The state of physical sensation is color, but there was no light at the time. Similarly, the first jhāna to four Zen, too.

As far as I know, a lot of people watch their body settled, their breath can be broken, but the light may not rise. If it is said that the breath can be interrupted for a long time (for example, 1 hour), and it is not the four Zens that are not lighted, then what Zen can interrupt the breath?

In order to avoid unnecessary controversy, this topic ends here and is no longer discussed.
